Member reviews

Reviews are optional public contributions about your experience with LogosPharos. Publishing displays your public profile name, rating, review text and dates. We store your account association, text, rating, timestamps and revision to host and manage the review you request. Staff may remove abusive content with a privately recorded reason; disagreement or a low rating alone is not grounds for removal. Do not publish private information or infringe others' rights. You can edit or delete your review; account deletion erases its active text too. Private moderation records may remain for abuse prevention and dispute handling under our legitimate interests. Reviews are not sent to AI or used for advertising. Contact realcodegr@gmail.com to report abuse, appeal moderation or request review of retained records. Copies made by other visitors cannot be recalled. This optional supplement does not change the AI-consent version.

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and the operator of the LogosPharos website (the “Service”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing, browsing, or using the Service you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

Before you can use the chat or verse-explanation features, you must explicitly accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy through the acceptance prompt. We record your acceptance together with the version number shown above. If we update these Terms, we will require you to accept the new version before you continue using these features — continued use after acceptance constitutes agreement to the updated Terms.

2. Description of the Service

LogosPharos is a public web application whose interface is in English by default, with Greek and Russian translations. The selected website language also determines the language of new AI replies. The shared theological, source and safety rules stay unchanged, and your typed messages are not automatically translated. It provides:

• an AI assistant for studying Eastern Orthodox Christianity (Scripture, the Church Fathers, the councils, liturgy, and related topics), which understands messages written in other languages and replies in the language you write in;
• an Orthodox Bible reader with chapter navigation and verse explanations;
• a prayer book, which reproduces in full the prayers of four books in our library and, for the one of them printed in two languages, sets the Greek beside its English;
• answers grounded in a curated library of Orthodox sources; and
• an optional free account that saves your conversations, gives you a small profile page, and lets you return to a thread later.

The Service is free of charge and is provided on an “as available” basis. Registration is optional: reading and guest AI features are available without an account; saving conversations and participating in the forum require sign-in. If the account service is temporarily unavailable the chat continues to work exactly as before.

Optional reminder service

Signed-in members may separately opt in to calendar alerts, personal prayer and Scripture routines, services, confession, communion preparation, selected saints and name days, memorials, and custom reminders. Reminders use no AI tokens. Parish-calendar confirmation is required for automatic church-calendar alerts; these use general source-based rules and principal feasts, not a complete parish calendar or a personal fasting rule. Service times, saints’ dates and personal preparation schedules must be supplied by the member. Follow your priest and parish, especially for health considerations and Holy Communion.

Notifications require browser permission on each device and are provided on a best-effort basis. Browser or operating-system restrictions, internet outages, quiet hours and daylight-saving changes can delay or prevent delivery. Do not rely on these reminders for emergencies, medication, critical appointments or guaranteed alarms. You can switch schedules off, disconnect devices, or delete all reminder settings at any time. Separate reminder-data consent is described in the Privacy Policy; this supplement does not change the AI-consent version.

3. AI-Generated Responses

You are interacting with an AI system. All responses are generated automatically by third-party artificial-intelligence models. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or otherwise unsuitable, and they do not represent the official position of any church, denomination, clergy member, or person. Responses are provided solely for study and discussion. You are responsible for evaluating any information before relying on it.

4. Not Professional, Pastoral, or Emergency Advice

• Not pastoral authority: the Service is a study tool. For spiritual and pastoral matters, consult your priest or your local church.
• Not professional advice: nothing in the Service constitutes medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Always seek a qualified professional.
• Not an emergency service: the Service does not monitor you and is not a crisis line. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number now — 112 in Greece and the EU, 988 in the US and Canada — or go to the nearest emergency department.

5. Eligibility and Age Requirement

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are a minor in your country of residence (for example, under 16 under the EU default, or under the digital-consent age that applies in your country — 15 in Greece), you may use the Service only with the permission of your parent or guardian, and that parent or guardian must also accept these Terms. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Guest Use, Optional Accounts, and Your Browser Storage

You do not need an account. As a guest, no account is created and no personal profile is built. To keep a conversation continuous, the Service stores a random session identifier and your recent messages in your browser’s local storage, and temporarily in the server’s memory. You can clear this at any time using the “New chat” button or your browser settings. You are responsible for control of your own device and browser storage.

If you choose to create an account, you give us a username, a display name, an optional short bio, and a password that we store only as a salted hash; we never see or keep your password in plain text. If you wish, you may also add a profile picture, which is optional and which you can remove at any time. Your conversations are then saved to that account so you can continue them later, and each account gets a public page showing your public name, optional bio, picture, and badges — not your conversation titles, messages, chat counts, or last-login metadata. Saved conversations are accessible only through their owning account; the separate owner-only security record is described in the Privacy Policy. You may change your profile at any time, and “Delete my account” removes your profile, your picture, your saved conversations, and your sign-in permanently. Sign-out ends the session immediately. Accounts are a convenience only, and they are not required to use the Service.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• violate any applicable law, regulation, or the rights of others;
• bypass, disable, or interfere with safety filters, rate limits, or access controls, or attempt to extract system prompts or internal instructions through automation;
• scrape, overload, or place unreasonable automated load on the Service, or build automated systems that do so;
• harass, threaten, defame, or transmit content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually abusive, or that promotes harm to others;
• impersonate any person, misrepresent your affiliation, or use your account or public profile to harass, deceive, or misrepresent who you are; or
• assist with any activity that is illegal in Greece, in your jurisdiction, or where the Service is accessible.

We may restrict or suspend access for any conduct we reasonably believe violates these Terms or creates risk, harm, or legal exposure.

Community forum rules

The community forum is public and separate from private AI conversations. An account is required to participate. By publishing a post or reply, you ask us to display it to other visitors and agree to these rules: discuss respectfully; no harassment, threats, spam, impersonation, doxxing, illegal content, or copyright infringement; do not evade bans or manipulate votes through multiple accounts. Community contributions are the authors' views, not authoritative Church teaching or AI answers. Cite sources where appropriate and share only information you are entitled to publish.

You retain ownership of your contributions and grant us the limited permission to host, display, and moderate them as needed to operate the forum. You may edit or remove your own contributions; replies by other people remain. Owner, Admin, and Moderator badge holders may remove content, lock discussions, and impose temporary or permanent forum bans. Forum bans restrict participation, not your chatbot or account access. Removal and ban actions require reasons and are recorded privately. Reports are visible only to staff. Appeals and unlawful-content notices may be sent to realcodegr@gmail.com; include the discussion URL and relevant details.

8. Your Content

You retain ownership of the messages you submit (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, and transmit Your Content solely as necessary to operate the Service — that is, to generate replies, run safety checks (injection, harmful content, and crisis detection), and enforce these Terms. We do not sell Your Content, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to build advertising profiles. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

9. Availability, Rate Limits, and Changes

The Service is free. We do not guarantee any availability, uptime, or response time, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. Reasonable rate limits are applied per IP address to keep the Service fair and secure; exceeding them results in temporary throttling.

10. Intellectual Property and Copyright

• Our rights: the Service’s design, interface, branding, logo, and original textual content are © 2026 LogosPharos. All rights reserved. No permission is granted to copy, reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit our original content or branding, except as expressly allowed by mandatory law.
• Third-party materials: Texts and study notes displayed through the Orthodox Bible reader remain © their respective publishers/rights holders. The reader’s label does not imply ownership of or a new translation of these materials. The prayers in the prayer book are likewise reproduced from published prayer books — among them Orthodox Daily Prayers (St. Tikhon’s Seminary Press), the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Canada’s Prayer Book, Prayers for Various Needs (azbyka.ru), and a collection of prayers for before and after study — and remain © their respective publishers, rights holders and churches; each prayer names the book it is taken from, and no prayer has been rewritten, paraphrased or translated by us. Library articles from azbyka.ru are © their authors and azbyka.ru. All trademarks remain the property of their owners; no affiliation with or endorsement by any church, publisher, or rights holder is implied.
• AI outputs: to the extent permitted by applicable law, you may save and quote AI-generated answers for personal, non-commercial study, retaining attribution to the Service.
• Frivolous or automated claims: we assert the rights, defences, and safe-harbor positions available to us under Greek, EU, and international law (including the EU Copyright Directive and Greek Law 2121/1997 as amended) in response to any claim.

11. Copyright Complaints and Takedown Procedure

We respect intellectual property and we expect the same of our users. This procedure covers claims against the Service and complaints you may wish to submit:

Filing a notice. If you believe that material accessible through the Service infringes your copyright, email realcodegr@gmail.com with the subject line “Copyright notice” and include: (a) identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed; (b) the exact URL or location on the Service of the material you claim is infringing; (c) your name, postal address, telephone number, and email address; (d) a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (e) a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf (an electronic signature is sufficient).

Our response. On receipt of a notice that satisfies these requirements, we will promptly investigate and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material. We will also act against users who are repeat infringers, including by terminating their access where applicable.

Counter-notice. If you believe your material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, email the same address with the subject line “Counter-notice”, identifying the material and its former location, and stating under penalty of perjury your consent to the jurisdiction of the competent Greek courts and your acceptance of service of process from the complaining party. We may restore the material after giving notice to the complaining party, as permitted by applicable law.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties, notably Google for generating responses, azbyka.ru and other Orthodox libraries for source material, and search providers for web research. Your messages are transmitted to those providers as described in our Privacy Policy. Their terms and privacy policies govern their processing: Google Privacy Policy, Google Terms of Service. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party service or website linked from the Service.

Advertising — planned Google AdSense

The Service may be supported by Google AdSense advertisements on eligible public content pages. Currently only ownership verification is installed: ads and advertising tracking are disabled. Enabling ads requires Google approval and an appropriate separate advertising-consent setup. Accepting these Terms for AI use is not consent to advertising cookies or personalized ads.

Advertisements, when enabled, will be distinguishable from navigation and site content. They are third-party offers, not recommendations or endorsements by LogosPharos. We do not ask you to click ads to support the site. Advertisers' sites have their own terms and privacy practices.

Private AI chats, saved conversations, account and owner screens, error pages, and maintenance screens will not carry advertisements. We do not use your private conversation contents or declared religious beliefs to build advertising audiences or select personalized ads. See the Advertising section of the Privacy Policy for planned data processing, Google's policies, and consent choices that must be available before advertising is activated.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory — including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that responses will be accurate or reliable.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we and our contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, goodwill, or profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service shall be limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (currently none, as the Service is free) or (b) fifty euro (EUR 50), to the extent permitted by Greek law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Greek or EU law, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.

15. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right — to the extent permitted by applicable law.

16. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time; clearing your browser storage removes your local data. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for any user who violates these Terms, creates risk or legal exposure, or where required for security or legal compliance. Sections 3, 4, 10–15, 17 and 18 survive any termination.

17. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Hellenic Republic (Greece), without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Athens, Greece have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, subject to the following:

• Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at realcodegr@gmail.com and attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith for at least thirty (30) days.
• If you are a consumer residing in the EU/EEA, you retain the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, including the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your habitual residence.

18. General

• Severability: if any provision is held unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions stay in effect.
• No waiver: failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
• Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
• Assignment: you may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with the Service.
• Headings: are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version and effective date are always shown at the top of this page. For material changes, we will require you to expressly accept the new version before continuing to use the chat or verse explanations. Your continued use of the Service after acceptance of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of them.
